After Wedding Festivities

Tonight we hosted a large (over 80 people) family BBQ, continuing on in the festivities from the previous evening, where we all gathered to celebrate the marriage of Paul and Ali Tong. So much yummy food, and so much fun!

Dirt and Water = Messy Kids

Here are a few pictures from our time together with friends yesterday. The kids all had a great time, going between playing in the water and playing in the dirt. This made for some dirty kiddos, but at least they all had fun. No mess is too great when the kids are playing nicely and having fun.

Moving Up

Levin has now been promoted to the three year old Sunday School class at church, which only time will tell how that transition will go.

So, along with a certificate of completion, from his two year old class, he received a rather large sucker-with gum in the middle. Anyways, I allowed him to begin eating it the other day, which as you can see he thoroughly enjoyed. The entire time he was eating the sucker, he kept asking, "Am I moving up"?

Then the other day at church he saw a girl eating a sucker and said, "her's moving up mommy". Apparently he now associates suckers with moving up to a new class in sunday school.

Ducks, Trucks, and Plenty of Candy

Levin does not appear to be too excited in this photo, but it should be noted that he walked a good bit of the way up 27th St., from Grandma and Grandpa's house, and was glad to be sitting before the parade began.

Despite a light rain falling, the boys and I made it to the Annual Duck Parade. We were joined by Grandma German, Aunt Jen, Anna Brodersen, and Aubree with all her kiddos.

Levin's favorite part was seeing Grandpa in his garbage truck, throwing candy as he drove past. He tried to hide his grin, but was obviously pretty excited to see Grandpa.

FYI

Hey, all you Tacoma Folk. Tomorrow, Saturday June 6th, is the Annual Duck Parade of University Place. If you are looking for a free event to take ths kids to, this is always a fun one. It begins at 10AM, and is always fairly short, but perfect for the kids. The parade runs along Bridgeport Way, beginning at 27th St.

Grandpa German/Uncle Phil/Mr. German, will be driving his garbage truck this year! The boys and I are planning to attend. If you want to join us call or leave a comment, so I can give you more details as needed.

Oh So Hot

Since it was already 70 degrees by 7:30 this morning, the boys were able to go swimming earlier than normal. Cousins, Kaelyn and Cooper, were able to join in on the fun while their mommy ran a few errands.

Levin was here, he just escaped the eye of the camera, this time.

Something to Pull Out in Few Years

Levin came parading out in my boots yesterday, very proud. He could not stop from giggling, hence the someone blurry photo. Not to mention that he was a bit clumsy, trying to walk around in two different boots and all.

Lately, Levin has been into wearing any shoes but his own, mainly my various pairs of flip flops. The other day he managed to get two right flip flops on, and seemed quite happy, never even noticing that they were different colors or both for the right foot.

I know that he will one day pass up my shoe size, most likely before he's ten, so I will enjoy watching him as he clip clops around in various shoes each day for us.
