An Afternoon in the Mud

Today we were able to enjoy a nice, muddy walk on the beach, with some of Jason's coworkers and their families. Today happened to be a record low tide, the lowest Jason's boss had ever seen. Jason's boss invited everyone out to his house, and then led us all on a walk through the muck, to look for all kinds of sea life that is normally left open to only the underwater sea life. The weather cleared up for the time that we were out on our walk, which made our time much more pleasant. The boys seemed to have a good time. Levin especially enjoyed seeing the crabs and starfish. We were also able to see lots of clams, tube worms, snails, huge moon snails, and even a baby octopus. There were other interesting things to see, and by the time we returned to the house, I think we all had muddy shoes and wet socks.

What precious photos! I'll bet that Levin loved it. Even Philip looks like he is peering over daddy's shoulder to see the sights! Glad the day was nice.
