Monday evening, we took the boys to their first Rainiers game all season. We figured it was high time, since Jason gets free tickets through his work. I might add that they are seated directly behind home plate in the front row. Nothing like being up front and center.
Though the boys were a little unsure of the team mascot-Rhubarb, they did find the game entertaining and never seemed to get bored. The not getting bored part may have been eased due to the fact that Grandma and Grandpa German were there with Aunt Jen, Aunt Heather, and Uncle Ben. Levin preferred their seats to ours, and so spent most of the game over with them.
Though the Rainiers lost, we still all had fun. Philip was so worn out that he slept in till 10:30 the next morning!
Levin is still asking me, why Rhubarb was at the game. He was not too impressed by his silly stunts-maybe next year.
Not to be outdone by the pro's, we took in another round of baseball on Tuesday evening, in the first ever Kvale Family Baseball game. We all enjoyed a picnic dinner together, before hitting the field.
The kids played a rousing game, wherein there was much chaos due mostly in part to children, like Levin, who have no concept of what running the bases in order means. None the less they all had fun.
Up next, the adults tried their hand at pulling together a game. Not sure how it all went, as I opted to watch my children while they played, but I only heard loud cheers and laughter.
What a fun evening. Thanks Kjerste and Derek for sharing your beautiful backyard park with us.
