We bought Philip a pair of boots recently, which he quickly learned he could put on himself. This now means that he puts them on everyday, clothes or not, and waits by the back door where he thinks he will be let out to play. He cannot get enough of the outdoors.
Despite the snow yesterday morning, we told Philip he could not wear his boots to church, which of course brought on a flood of tears.

Today
I am reminded today, how grateful I am to have a basement. The boys and I were able to spend our entire morning downstairs riding bikes, playing ball, climbing on the outdoor climber, and building towers with blocks.
I was able to keep the laundry going and iron, while the boys took part in the above activities expelling some much accumulated energy. Having only left the house two brief times in the last 9 days leaves for a lot of pent up energy, especially for two young boys. Oh to be healthy again.
I did not think to take any pictures, but who really needs to see a basement filled with...well, you know?

The week of laundry and.....
....seeing nothing but the confines or our house everyday, has been the theme of the week for us thus far. I began the week behind on laundry, making for 8 loads of laundry to be done on Monday. Add two more loads that still needed folding and I was left with 10 loads of laundry to fold. I usually do not mind any part of doing laundry, save, the part about putting it all way in its rightful place, but this week has had me burnt out a bit.
Still behind on folding clothes, I set out on Tuesday to play catch-up. Little did I know that Philip had come down with the stomach flu during the night, leading to six additional loads of laundry for the next 48 hours. Thankfully none of the rest of us have caught the bug or else I might still be drowning in laundry.
It is now Thursday, and I can say that all the laundry is done and nearly put away. I think I will take a break from laundry until next Monday.
Hope all of your weeks have been more interesting then laundry and being stuck inside.

Remember When...
Remember when you wanted so bad to not go to sleep that you sneaked down to listen in on your parents conversations.
Well aren't you glad your parents had more interesting things to say than Levin's?

Maybe not the best choice of days
Despite the pouring rain today, the boys and I headed downtown to the Tacoma Children's Museum. I checked out a pass to the museum at the Library last night, which worked out quite well. The boys had fun, and it was good for all of us to be out of the house for the morning, since we had been in the house all week. Can we say "Cabin Fever"?
After we had spent our fare share of time collecting and sorting fruits and vegetables, we headed off to meet Jason for lunch. We ate at a pizza place, with a full view of the construction happening on the street outside. This very well may have been the highlight for Levin. I think he also enjoyed riding the train to and from the museum. What an exciting day for two little boys.
