Food at last

Yesterday we gave Philip his first taste of food, cheerios to be exact. Who needs to start with the rice cereal and mashed peas anyways? We were all eating dinner and since Philip was fussy, we decided to stick some cheerios within his reach to see what he would do. After each of the cheerios had been on the floor at least once, (Jason had just vacuumed), Philip finally managed to get one in his mouth. Much to our surprise he actually took to them quite well. Unlike his brother he actually chewed the food before swallowing-what a concept. While he did not eat all that many, he sure had fun and it kept him busy while we ate dinner.
