Next time you think twice about whether or not you really need to place that plastic item marked, "top rack dishwasher safe only", on the top rack, know that you should. Though this item was placed on the top rack before washing, it ended up below the bottom rack during the washing cycle, where it apparently does get very hot. Glad to know that my dishes do get cleaned in water hot enough to melt a plastic sippy lid.

I would gladly give up my handwashing to have a dishwasher and melted sippy-cup lids!! Thanks for today.
I'm with Tina. A dishwasher is one of Adam's first purchases for the new place. Though I don't know where we'll put it! He is tired of hand washing things. :)
