Meeting Great Grandma German

On Saturday, Jason and I dropped the boys (minus Owen) off with my parents, so we could hit the mall for a little mother's day shopping (for me). No more maternity clothes..yeah!! So, my parents were having a little work party at my grandma's house, which gave us the perfect opportunity to introduce our newest addition to her. I know, he is six weeks and we finally made it over for a visit. We had a nice visit and Owen even shared a few smiles while we were there.

The rest of our Saturday was spent at the mall. A sad way to spend such a beautiful day, but still fun. Owen and daddy got some good quality time together, since 30 seconds into our shopping trip, Owen made it very clear that he would not be riding in his stroller. We still had fun (if shopping could be fun), and great success in finding what we were after, as you can see in the picture below.

After returning home, from the mall, we decided to see about finding a last minute sitter for Owen, so we could go out on a dinner date. Owen is sadly not the kind of baby that would sit happily in his car seat at dinner, hence the hunt for childcare. After a few phone calls, we found that the Arnold family wanted him for a bit. What good neighbors. He was well cared for and enjoyed keeping Lorna warm while he napped. Jason and I enjoyed our dinner down on the waterfront, out on the deck at Katie Down's. What a treat to go out on a date, even if it was for a brief time.
